Music
UPDATE 2/11/26
I was thinking the music over while reading the Word. It occurred to me to write some music to the Psalms. Then I thought that the section of the Libretto that deals with the three churches that are represented by Saul, David & Solomon, could actually use the Psalms of David and even the Song of Solomon or Proverbs.
So, I am directing this to the musician who will commit to writing the music for A&O. Even without knowing what the structure of the Libretto is, in the center section music based on the Psalms will work, in fact it needs to be there. So that will get you going, until the Libretto is locked in and available.

ADDENDUM
Act Two concludes (the second half) with Christ’s mission. That being the case, His presence will be conveyed musically, both instrumental and lyrical. The form of the staging can be crafted around the music in this instance. So composing the music for this is not contingent upon the Libretto and, in fact, the Libretto can be determined by the music in this instance.
NOTE; If the starting point of the piece assumes three hours (realistically, more like 2.5) then each Act is assigned one hour (maximum). If the production breakdown works in increment of four divisions for each section, the presentation in Act Two of Christ should amount to 1 to 2 sections, around twenty minutes, to convey his life and resurrection (possibly two fifteen minute segments depending on what is discovered in the Ethiopian Bible regarding the Resurrection. The first half of Act Two needs to convey the events and persons spanning from Moses to Christ. So in that regard, musically that will, in effect, be a montage conveying the plight of the Chosen Peoples and the challenges of remaining true to an unseen God.
The Third Act will be entirely composed of The Apocalypse, Heaven & Hell, as conveyed in The Apocalypse Revealed by Swedenborg. It will be operatic in form.
ARCHIVE
Thinking about the music composition; I had been discussing this with a musician friend, someone I have wanted to work on this for decades, but those communication became difficult for various reasons. So, I’m thinking that since I will be setting up a new music workstation in order to finish the music for The Gnomes of New Hope, I may be the one to do it, at least some of the basics.
One of the things that has been on my mind, is that I will use the poetry, lyrics and prose, which I have already written in my Journals. I have about eight of them and I have transposed the first one, amounting to about sixty pages, for a book I am publishing titled “The Soul’s Inspiration”.
Once I have all of those Journals transposed into a publishing layout then I will review them in the context of the rewrites for A&O. I know there are some pieces that could be used and some of them were written as lyrics. I know I would like to write the music for those pieces.
For a long time, maybe thirty years, I have been singing in choir at church. Recently (two weeks ago) I stopped going to choir, because I have too much to do ( A&O and The Gnomes, plus my studio and a bum knee), so I’m taking a break. But that got me thinking that I should write the music for my lyrics and just sing it, make a recording for posterity’s sake. Starting that process will lead into A&O.
Of course, I need to get down to the rewrites of the core material, but I’m still engaged in research, but getting closer to putting pen to paper.
In regard to The Gnomes, the publishing layout is closing in on being finished for all seven books. After that is achieved and the prototype books are finished, I will be returning to music composition and in that regard, I have concluded that I will sing the songs to serve as a guide for the stage production. I’m not sure about the choral numbers, but I will attempt the quartets.
Time to charge my phone.
More later, AG
