ACT ONE, Structure

Foundations

   In accordance with New Church philosophy, theologically speaking; in Judeo-Christian terms, there have been five churches.

   Overall, the piece addresses those five churches. They are represented by personalities in the Word. This is referred to as "correspondences".

   Many other Truths are contained within the Word. Those Truths appear in the Literal sense as assorted stories in the Word surrounding those personalities and the transition periods between the appearance of those personalities.

   The events, personalities, landmarks and other elements of creation that appear in these stories, partake in what is referred to as "the science of correspondences". Whereby, those element correspond to natural, spiritual and celestial realities. An example being that when one says they "see what you mean" they are really saying "I understand what you are saying".

   If course, The Science of Correspondences is much more extensive than that and some correspondences are difficult to understand, but as a whole, they need to be accepted in the overall context of revelation, which is provided in the Writings for the New Church.

   "I Am Alpha and Omega" strives to present these correspondences in the context of selected "scenes" provided by the Bible. The overall context is that;

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"

   With this understanding, the revelation of the internal sense of the Word, by way of correspondences, is a revelation of the soul of God, in and through the Wor and by extension - "man was created in God's image" so the internal of the Word likewise reveals the essential nature of man's soul and provides guidelines to man on his role in preparing himself for a life in eternity, beyond the natural degree.

Structure

   I will add to these notes as necessary, for they will guide the rewrite.

   The five churches are as follows;

1) Adam - the Most Ancient Church
2) Noah - the Ancient Church
3) Aaron - the Israelitish Church
4) John - the Christian Church
5) The Woman Clothed with the Sun - the Church of the New Jerusalem

These churches are conveyed across the divisions of the stage presentation, however the divisions are going to be restructured in the expected rewrite.

   Here is a Synopsis of the expected divisions in the stage piece, with an off-the-top-of-the-head outline, this is not set-in-stone. The actual degree of the theology (Revelation) must be cross-referenced.
